Local election in Turkey, 1946
The local elections in Turkey in 1946 ( Turkish 1946 Türkiye yerel seçimleri ) took place in 1946 and was the second local election in Turkey. After the local elections in Turkey in 1930 , it was also the second democratic national election in the entire history of Turkey .
The Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi (Republican Party) and the Democrat Parti competed against each other here, with the CHP of party leader İsmet İnönü becoming the winner of the election. Celâl Bayar's DP came second.
