Parliamentary election in Turkey 1991
The election for the 19th Grand National Assembly of Turkey took place on October 20, 1991. The 450 members of the national parliament were elected .
The election brought defeat for the Anavatan Partisi. The election winner was Doğru Yol Partisi (Party of the Right Way), which, with its chairman, Süleyman Demirel, then appointed the new prime minister. In addition to the social democrat Halkçı Parti (Social Democratic Populist Party) as the third strongest force, two other parties made it over the 10% hurdle. The Refah Partisi won 16.9% and the Democracy Sol Parti (Democratic Left Party) entered parliament for the first time with 10.7% of the vote. The turnout was 83.9%.

The right-wing extremist party of the Nationalist Movement (MHP) entered a list connection with the Islamist Welfare Party (RP) for the parliamentary election.
