General election in Turkey 1943

Parliamentary elections were held in Turkey in 1943 , on February 28th of that year.

The last time the election took place within the framework of the one-party system , the National Chief President Ismet Inönü this time allowed far more independent and non-party candidates. So far, only the Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi has competed as a party . After the election, the Grand National Assembly of Turkey was opened on March 8, 1943 and Inönü instructed Şükrü Saracoğlu as head of government to form the cabinet.
