First songs were recorded in Kirk's basement studio. Copies of these recordings later came into the hands of the manager of Brian Jonestown Massacre , and he invited Miranda to perform with the band. The first joint live concert took place at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco in 1995. Although Lee Richards had ended her performances with the band after 6 months, she continued the musical collaboration with Brian Jonestown Massacre: she wrote “Reign On” on the “Bringing It All Back Home Again” EP and was co-author of “ Before I Am Gone ”on the album“ Give It Back ”.

After breaking up with Brian Jonestown Massacre, Lee Richards moved to Los Angeles and began looking for her own musical aesthetic. Here she met the producer Rick Parker know and recorded with him the debut album "The Herethereafter". The songs of this work, which is noticeably inspired by the music of the 1960s, are influenced by country , folk and neo- psychedelic rock .
