Miroslav Lipovský (born November 19, 1976 in Skalica , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with HK 36 Skalica in the Slovak Extraliga since December 2012 .

Career

Miroslav Lipovský began his career as a hockey player in his hometown at HK 36 Skalica , for whose professional team he made his debut in the first division , the second Slovak division, in the 1996/97 season . With the team, as a regular goalkeeper in his rookie year , he immediately achieved promotion to the Slovakian extra league , in which he spent the following four years with Skalica. The 2001/02 season he spent at league rivals MsHK Žilina , but returned to Skalica for the following season . It was followed by a year at the Extraliga rival MHk 32 Liptovský Mikuláš . At the beginning of the 2004/05 season he was active for the first time in his career abroad when he stood in 18 games between the posts for Neftjanik Leninogorsk from the Vysschaya League , the second Russian division. However, he ended the season again in his Slovak homeland at HK Nitra .

In the 2005/06 season Lipovský won the Slovak championship title for the first time in his career with his ex-club MsHK Žilina . He himself had a large share in this success with good performances and was elected to the All-Star Team of the Extraliga. Shortly after the start of the 2006/07 season , the former national player was signed by the top club HC Košice , with whom he was also Slovak champion in the 2008/09 season . This was followed by another year and a half at MsHK Žilina and towards the end of the 2010/11 season a brief engagement at HK Nitra . In the 2011/12 season , the Slovak ran for the Frederikshavn White Hawks in the Danish AL-Bank Ligaen .

For the 2012/13 season he was committed by the Slovak second division club HK Spišská Nová Ves before returning to his home club in December 2012.

International

Lipovský took part in the 2000 World Cup for Slovakia . As a substitute goalkeeper without commitment, he won the silver medal with his team.
