Mizgin bilmen
Mizgin Bilmen (born October 18, 1983 in Duisburg ) is a German theater and opera director .
Life
Bilmen completed an internship with Roberto Ciulli at the Theater an der Ruhr in Mülheim and then studied acting direction at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, funded by the German National Academic Foundation . As part of her studies, she published a total of nine directorial works. Immediately after her diploma staging autopsy danton - after Georg Büchner's Dantons death - Mizgin Bilmen started as an assistant director at the Maxim Gorki Theater in September 2013 . In May 2014 she received an invitation to the Körber Studio Junge Regie in Hamburg for autopsy danton . In the Maxim Gorki Theater she took over some small scenic facilities and took part in an improvisation format. In 2014/15 she received a one-year engagement at the Schauspiel Frankfurt. She has been working as a freelance director since mid-2015.
Awards
In 2017 Bilmen was awarded the Götz Friedrich Prize for the 2016/17 season. She received the award for her production of Marc-André Dalbavie's opera Charlotte Salomon , which was shown as a German premiere at the Bielefeld Theater. As the Bielefelder Theater announced, Charlotte Salomon was one of the most successful productions at the house. Dalbavie's opera about the painter of the same name who was murdered in Auschwitz in 1943 turned into a creative process illustrated on many levels in the reading of the directing team around Mizgin Bilmen.
