Route description

The route begins at the source of the Modau on the northern slope of the Neunkircher Höhe . From the source the cycle path runs downhill through the forest to Brandau. From here the path leads through the Modau valley , partly directly along the Modau river. From Darmstadt-Eberstadt you leave the Odenwald and the route runs flat through the Hessian Ried . The Modau flows into the Old Rhine near Stockstadt .
