Mohamed Diab al-Attar ( Arabic محمد دياب العطار, DMG Muḥammad Diyāb al-ʿAṭṭār ; * November 17, 1926 in Alexandria ; † December 30, 2016 ), known as (ad-) Diba , partly managed as Mohamed Deyab by the world football association FIFA , was an Egyptian football player and referee .
The trained water economist and journalist al-Attar won the Egyptian Cup competition with al-Ittihad Alexandria in 1948 , in the final he scored the 1-0 goal. The Egyptian finished the first season of the newly founded Premier League with 15 goals as the top scorer. In 1955 he was with the club (as a scorer of a hit in the semifinals) vice cup winner.
With the national team, al-Attar took part in the Summer Olympics in 1948 and 1952 ; however, he did not come to use. The private homepage Egyptian Football Net lists al-Attar for the first time as a player on the Egyptian national team in the game against Palestine on August 1, 1953 . In this and two other games of the Pan-Arab Games in 1953 , the Egyptian scored nine goals and thus contributed significantly to winning the tournament. In 1957, al-Attar scored five times for the "Pharaohs" during the first African Cup ; in the final victory over Sudan , the Egyptian contributed all four goals, so that he was the top scorer of the tournament.

Overall, Egyptian Football Net leads up to the game against Turkey on May 26, 1957 19 games with participation of al-Attar, in which he scored 17 goals.
Between 1968 and 1976 the Egyptian was active as a referee for the Egyptian Football Association . In addition to appearances in World Cup qualifying games and the 1972 Golf Cup , he was the game director in the 1968 African Championship finals . In addition, al-Attar took part as a linesman in the 1976 Olympic football tournament and assisted - possibly - in the final of the 1978 African Cup .
In 2006 the Confédération Africaine de Football listed al-Attar on a list of the 200 best players since 1950 in the Africa's Elite 50 category from 1957 to 1970.
