biography

Løseth won the Whistler Cup slalom in April 2006 and competed in FIS races for the first time in November of the same year . The following February she became Norwegian junior champion in giant slalom and in March she was in the Norwegian squad for the Junior World Championships in Altenmarkt-Zauchensee . Since the 2007/2008 season she has regularly competed in the European Cup .

On January 4, 2009 Løseth drove in the Slalom of Zagreb, her first World Cup race, but could not qualify for the second run. She already achieved her first World Cup points in her second race, which she contested in Garmisch-Partenkirchen that same month . She finished 22nd in slalom and was subsequently nominated by the Norwegian Association for the World Championship in Val-d'Isère . There she started in the slalom, but was eliminated in the first round. At the Junior World Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, she was fourth in slalom and giant slalom and only missed a medal by a few hundredths of a second.

On December 5, 2009 Løseth won a European Cup race for the first time, a super combination in Kvitfjell . The so far best World Cup result was achieved by Løseth on January 16, 2010 with 12th place in the giant slalom in Maribor . At the Junior World Championships 2010 she became world champion in giant slalom, won the silver medal in slalom and also secured the gold medal in the combined ranking. At the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver , she reached 13th place in the super combined and 21st place in the super G. In slalom and giant slalom, she did not finish. In March 2010, she became Norwegian champion in super-G and giant slalom, after having won the slalom title the previous year. In addition, she was the 2010 Norwegian junior slalom champion.

On April 15, 2010, Løseth suffered a fracture of his right lower leg. From January 2011 she took part in competitions again, but on February 10, 2011 she broke her right lower leg for the second time, which was followed by another twelve-month break from racing. She has been back in the European Cup since February 2012, and in the World Cup again since the 2012/2013 season. On January 26th, 2013 she finished 21st in the giant slalom in Maribor for the first time in almost three years in the World Cup. At the end of winter 2012/2013 she won the Norwegian championship titles in slalom and giant slalom. In the 2013/14 season she achieved three placements among the top 30 in the World Cup and took part in the Winter Olympics for the second time in Sochi , where she was 16th in slalom and 27th in giant slalom.

In July 2014, she announced the end of her career.
