Monica Lochner-Fischer

Monica Lochner-Fischer (born June 27, 1952 in Munich ; † August 3, 2012 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ). From 1991 to 2008 she was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament .

Life

Monica Lochner-Fischer grew up with her grandmother in the Riedenburg district because of her parents' work . She attended primary school in Munich and then completed an apprenticeship as a technical draftswoman (specializing in heating / ventilation / sanitation) in a large Munich-based construction company. There she was already politically active and became the class representative in the vocational school. She also joined IG Metall . She worked in an industrial and medium-sized company as well as in an architecture office . Afterwards she was unemployed for two years due to the closure of the company. This was followed by further training to become an organizational programmer. She then worked as a programmer until she was elected to the state parliament .

In addition to her party-political engagement, she was active in several women's and social associations as well as peace initiatives. She was married and had a child from her first marriage. She succumbed to years of cancer in August 2012.

Monica Lochner-Fischer joined the SPD in 1969 and took on various functions with the Young Socialists and the SPD. From 1994 to July 15, 2006, she was the Bavarian state chairwoman of the Working Group of Social Democratic Women (AsF) and in this role was a member of the state board of her party. She gave up her position within the AsF for health reasons. She was also a member of the presidium of the Bavarian SPD.

On July 16, 1991, she replaced Peter Braun , who was elected mayor of Germering, via the Upper Bavaria constituency list in the Bavarian state parliament. In 1994 she won the direct mandate in the Munich-Schwabing district . In 1998 and 2003 she was re-elected via the constituency list. To state elections in Bavaria in 2008 , they did not stand for re-election.
