Monika Bartsch

Monika Bartsch (* the thirtieth May 1949 in Mönchengladbach ) is a former German politician ( CDU ) and was from 1997 to 2004 Mayor of the city of Mönchengladbach. Since July 2007 she has been the 1st chairwoman of the Mönchengladbacher Tafel .

Life

Monika Bartsch comes from a merchant family. Her father was Bruno Frenzen. Bartsch is divorced and has two children.

After attending the Carl-Sonnenschein-Schule in Mönchengladbach, Bartsch switched to the Episcopal Marienschule Mönchengladbach , which she completed in 1967 with the general university entrance qualification. She then studied mathematics , biology , physics and education in Aachen from 1967 to 1970 . From 1971 to 1976 she was a teacher at the Wiedemannstraße secondary school. In November 1998 she was elected full-time mayor of the city of Mönchengladbach.
