Monika Hildebrand

Monika Hildebrand (born August 10, 1941 in Dresden ) is a German actress and chanson singer .

Life

Monika Hildebrand returned to her hometown Dresden in 1965 after studying acting at the German Academy for Film Art in Potsdam - Babelsberg , where she received her first engagement at the Children's and Youth Theater of the Young Generation . It was only after almost twenty years at this venue that she began to work freelance on the other Dresden theaters in 1984.

Her preferred repertoire included chanson evenings , for which she took extra lessons at the Carl Maria von Weber Academy of Music in Dresden in the early 1970s , as well as literary-musical programs in which she often appeared with well-known colleagues. Her performances have taken her to Vienna, Paris, Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Düsseldorf and St. Petersburg. She was also a popular actress in cinema and television films.

Monika Hildebrand is married, lives in Dresden, has a son who works as a musician and a daughter who is also an actress.
