Montagne (German outdated: Welsch-Montan ) is a fraction of the municipality ( comune ) Tre Ville and was an independent municipality of Trentino in the autonomous region of Trentino-South Tyrol until 2015 . The community belonged to the valley community Comunità delle Giudicarie and the Comunità delle Regole di Spinale e Manez .
geography
Montagne is located about 28 kilometers west of Trento at an altitude of 1004 mslm on the orographic left side of the valley of the Sarca river on the southern foothills of the Brenta group . The Binio, Cort and Larzana factions belonged to the former municipality .
history
On January 1, 2016, the municipalities of Montagne, Preore and Ragoli merged to form the new municipality of Tre Ville. Neighboring communities were Bocenago , Darè , Pelugo , Preore, Ragoli, Spiazzo , Stenico , Vigo Rendena and Villa Rendena .
