MontenegroSong

MontenegroSong is a Montenegrin music festival hosted by the country's public service broadcaster ( RTCG ) in 2007 and 2008 . It was used to find the candidate for the Eurovision Song Contest . The event has not taken place since 2009, as RTCG switched to internal selection of contributions and stayed away from the competition in 2010 and 2011.

The 1st Montenegro song took place on February 25, 2007. A total of ten entries were selected to compete to become Montenegro's first Eurovision entry; the order had been determined live on television a week earlier. As a stopgap presented Koldun from Belarus and Alenka Gotar from Slovenia their contributions for the Euro Vision Song Contest 2007 in front, in addition, the group met No Name on. In 2005 and 2006 she won the Serbian-Montenegrin preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest.

The winner was determined by a telephone vote alone .

Stevan Faddy was selected for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki . There he reached only 22nd place in the semifinals with his song out of 28 participants, so he couldn't qualify for the grand finale.

The 2nd MontenegroSong took place on January 27th, 2008. Compared to the previous year, the format was changed, the performers no longer presented their potential competition entries, but sang songs by other artists , similar to a casting show . The final song was later selected by a broadcast jury. During the break, the Belarusian candidate Ruslan Aljachno appeared with his contribution Hasta La Vista , Elvir Laković Laka , representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina , previous year's representatives Stevan Faddy and Milanca Rasic from Macedonian radio were also present.

After this decision, RTCG hired composers to write songs. The song Ne daj mi da poludim by the Macedonian composers Grigor Koprov and Ognen Nedelkovski was selected from four final proposals . On March 8, it was presented to the public and rearranged under the new title Zauvijek volim te . At the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade , Stefan Filipović and Stevan Faddy failed to reach the finals; he reached 14th place in 19 songs in the first semifinals.
