Radio Televizija Crne Gore (RTCG; German: Montenegrinischer Rundfunk ) is the public broadcasting company of Montenegro with its headquarters in Podgorica . The company consists of the parts Radio Crne Gore / RCG (radio) and Televizija Crne Gore / TVCG (television). RTCG general director is Rade Vojvodic. The annual budget is around 9 million euros (1.6 million advertising / 7.4 million government funding).

RTCG has been a member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) since 2006 . RTCG is thus responsible for the Montenegrin contributions to the Eurovision Song Contest . When Yugoslavia and Serbia and Montenegro still existed, RTCG (or Radio-Televizija Titograd ) was responsible for the contributions three times ( 1983 , 1984 , 2005 ).

Radio (RCG)

Radio Crne Gore or RCG ( kyr . : Радио Црне Горе ) is the public broadcasting company in Montenegro. The following radio programs are produced:

  • Radio CG 1
  • Radio CG 2

It has been broadcasting as Radio Titograd since 1944 ( Titograd is the old name of Podgorica). In 1963 , Radio Titograd and Televizija Titograd (television) were merged to form Radio-Televizija Titograd . In 1990 Radio Titograd changed its name to Radio Crne Gore .

Television (TVCG)

Televizija Crne Gore or TVCG (kyr .: Телевизија Црне Гope ) is the public television of Montenegro. It is divided into three channels

  • TV CG 1 mainly broadcasts news
  • TV CG 2 broadcasts sports and entertainment and
  • TV CG Sat broadcasts selected programs from the two national television channels via satellite.

The first broadcasts took place in 1964, after production began in 1963. The broadcast operation ran until 1990 under Televizija Titograd , from then on under the current name.
