The Mordach (Bach vom Kirschberg) is a 0.7 km long, eastern and right tributary of the Beerbach . It flows in the municipal area of Mühltal in the Vorderen Odenwald and in the Bergstrasse-Odenwald nature park in the Hessian district of Darmstadt-Dieburg .
The name Mordach is a local dialect form that corresponds to a written Moorache .
course
The stream rises east of the Mühltaler hamlet In der Mordach on the western slope of the Kirschberg ( 302.4 m above sea level ) at an altitude of about 210 m . It flows in a westerly direction and passes through four ponds. A few meters west of the fourth pond, the Mühlgraben meets the stream from the Kirschberg from the left . The latter joins the Modau tributary Beerbach east of the state road 3098 at the hamlet In der Mordach at around 177 m above sea level . A few meters below this mouth, an approximately 250 to 300 m long Mühlkanal branches off the Beerbach, the water of which flows into the Beerbach in front of the Haus Burgwald sanatorium .
