Morgan Warren (born March 6, 1980 in Summerside , Prince Edward Island ) is a Canadian ice hockey striker who played from 2003 to 2006 in Germany for the Tölzer Löwen and Lausitzer Füchsen in the 2nd Bundesliga ice hockey .

Career

Warren played his first three seasons from 1997 to 2000 in Canada with the Moncton Wildcats in the Québec Major Junior Hockey League (QMHL) , with which he was eliminated in the play-offs . During the 1998 NHL Entry Draft , he was selected 126th by the Toronto Maple Leafs . Warren then moved to the St. John's Maple Leafs in the American Hockey League (AHL), where he played for three years. This franchise was at the time the farm team of the NHL club Toronto Maple Leafs. However, Warren did not make the leap into the NHL. That is one of the reasons why he moved to Europe in 2003 and made his debut in German ice hockey. For the Tölzer Löwen he played over 100 games in the 2nd Bundesliga ice hockey in the 2003/04 and 2004/05 seasons . In the second season, as the second-best striker on his team, he scored a goal in almost every second game.

The Lausitzer Füchse from Weißwasser signed him for the following season . Here, too, he scored the team's second-most goals. Nevertheless, he did not get a new contract in Germany. It was not until January 2007 that Warren joined the EC-TREND Dornbirn from the Austrian second-rate national league , where he replaced the Finn Lasse Jämsen by storm. After the season, Warren ended his professional career in Europe. In the 2007/08 season he led the Corner Brook Royals in the West Coast Senior Hockey League (WCSHL) as captain, where he played until 2010/11.
