The hamlet of Jalenques near Mourjou

Mourjou is a village and a former French commune of 321 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Cantal in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belonged to the arrondissement of Aurillac and the canton of Maurs .

With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Calvinet and Mourjou were merged into the Commune nouvelle Puycapel and have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Calvinet.
