Mr. Carlis and his adventurous stories is a television series produced by ARD in 1977 . It was broadcast weekly from November 1977 onwards by the Westdeutscher Rundfunk Köln in the evening program. The main actor from the series Die Kriminalerzählung clears up 13 other cases.

action

Detective Carlis is now retired and devoted entirely to literature. He hires the young bookseller Peggy to bring some order to his extensive library. During her work at Carlis, the ex-detective talks about his exciting professional life.

Forerunners of this television series were the series Detective Quarles from 1968, Die Kriminalnovelle from 1970 and Die Kriminalerzählung from 1973. Eric Pohlmann was there from the beginning as Detective Quarles or later Carlis . The scripts are based on stories by Nikolai Wassiljewitsch Gogol , Wilhelm Hauff , Leo Tolstoy , Prosper Mérimée , W. Somerset Maugham and others.
