The municipality of Belén de Andamarca is a district in the Oruro department in the highlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The municipality of Belén de Andamarca is one of two municipalities in the Sud Carangas province . It borders the province of Carangas to the north, the province of Litoral to the west, the province of Sabaya to the southwest , the province of Ladislao Cabrera to the south , and the municipality of Andamarca to the east .
The central place of the municipality is the village Belén de Andamarca with 639 inhabitants ( 2012 census ) in the northeastern part of the district.

The municipality of Belén de Andamarca is located on the eastern edge of the Bolivian Altiplano and west of the Andes mountain range of the Cordillera Central . The region is characterized by a distinct daytime climate , in which the temperatures between day and night fluctuate more strongly than during the average year.
