The Municipio Andamarca (also: Santiago de Andamarca ) is a district in the Oruro department in the highlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The Municipio Andamarca is one of two Municipios in the Sud Carangas Province . It borders in the north on the province of Saucarí , in the north-west on the province of Carangas , in the west on the municipality Belén de Andamarca , in the south on the province Ladislao Cabrera , in the south-east on the province Sebastián Pagador , in the east on the province Eduardo Avaroa , and in the northeast to the province of Poopó .
The district includes 96 localities, the central place of the municipality is Santiago de Andamarca with 468 inhabitants ( 2012 census ) in the northern part of the district.

The municipality of Andamarca is located on the eastern edge of the Bolivian Altiplano and west of the Andean mountain range of the Cordillera Central .
