The Municipio Ravelo is a district in the Potosí Department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

The Municipio Ravelo is one of four Municipios in the Province of Chayanta . It is bordered by the province of Charcas to the north, the department of Chuquisaca to the east, the province of Cornelio Saavedra to the southwest, the municipality of Ocurí to the west, and the municipality of Colquechaca to the northwest . It extends over 70 kilometers in a north-south and over 45 kilometers in an east-west direction.

The central place of the municipality Ravelo is the village Ravelo with 1,826 inhabitants ( 2012 ) on the trunk road Ruta 6 in the central eastern part of the municipality.
