The municipality of Villa Tunari is a district in the department of Cochabamba in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The municipality of Villa Tunari is one of three municipalities in the province of Chapare . It borders the province of Ayopaya in the northwest , the province of Quillacollo in the southwest , the municipality Sacaba and the municipality Colomi in the south, the province Tiraque in the southeast , the province Carrasco in the east , and the department Beni in the north .
The central place of the municipality is Villa Tunari with 3,210 inhabitants on the eastern edge of the municipality. ( 2012 census )

The municipality of Villa Tunari is located in the Bolivian lowlands on the northern edge of the Cordillera Oriental . The climate is tropical with a pronounced time of day climate .
