Muraszemenye is a Hungarian community in the county Letenye in Zala county .
Geographical location
Muraszemenye lies on the dead arms of the Mura River , one kilometer north of the border with Croatia and one kilometer east of the Slovenian border. Neighboring municipalities are Csörnyeföld, Kerkaszentkirály , Szentmargitfalva and Murarátka.
history
Today's Muraszemenye municipality was established in 1938 through the merger of Alsószemenye , Csernec and Felsőszemenye .
