Letenye small area

The Letenye small area (Hungarian Letenyei kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within Zala County in western Transdanubia . As the only small area in the county, it retained its structure during the 2013 administrative reform. All 27 localities were taken over in the Letenye district (Hungarian Letenyei járás ).

At the end of 2012, 16,413 people lived in an area of ​​388.69 km². The population density of 42 inhabitants / km² was below the average of the county.

The administrative seat was in the only city Letenye (4.202 Ew.). The remaining 26 localities had an average population of 470 (on 13.34 km² each).
