Borsfa ( Croatian Borša ) is a Hungarian community in the county Letenye in Zala county .
Geographical location
Borsfa is located about nine kilometers northeast of the town of Letenye , ten kilometers from the border with Croatia , on the Borsfai-patak river.
history
Borsfa was first mentioned in documents in 1392 and was a permanently inhabited place. There was no church. The central place in the area was Bánokszentgyörgy . A school was opened in 1889. A chapel with a belfry was built in 1896.
After the Second World War, the place suffered from emigration. At the end of the 1960s the situation stabilized and the school was reopened. There has been a kindergarten since 1973. In the 1990s, the place experienced an economic boom.
A vigilante group is active in the village.

The road no. 7536 runs through Borsfa, the main road no. 7 and the M7 motorway run six and seven kilometers south of the municipality . The nearest train station is located southeast in the city of Nagykanizsa .
