Lenti small area

The Lenti small area ( Hungarian Lenti kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within Zala County in western Transdanubia until the end of 2012 . In the course of the administrative reform at the beginning of 2013, 48 localities came to the Lenti district (Hungarian Lenti járás ), three localities changed to the Zalaegerszeg district ( Zalaegerszegi járás in Hungarian ).

At the end of 2012, 20,993 people lived in an area of ​​662.95 km². The population density of the second largest small area was 32 inhabitants / km² and was the lowest in the county.

The administrative seat was in the only city Lenti (7,961 Ew.). The remaining 50 localities had an average population of 261 (on 11.78 km² each).
