Bödeháza is a Hungarian community in the county Lenti in Zala county . The district of Szentistvánlak belongs to the municipality .

Geographical location

Bödeháza is located about ten kilometers northwest of the town of Lenti , on the small Határ-patak river , 500 meters from the border with Slovenia . The neighboring municipality is Gáborjánháza . The Slovenian towns of Kamovci and Žitkovci are two kilometers away on the other side of the border .

history

The place was mentioned in writing as early as 1389 under the name Bedehaza . In 1939 there was a merger with the neighboring municipality of Szentistvánlak, which was originally called Jósecz .
