Pacsa small area

The small area Pacsa ( Hungarian Pacsai kistérség ) was created in 2007 through an administrative reform from parts of the small areas Keszthely-Hévíz , Nagykanizsa and Zalaegerszeg . Until its dissolution at the end of 2012, it was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within Zala County in Western Transdanubia . In the course of the administrative reform of 2013, 14 of the 20 villages (with a total of 7,884 inhabitants) came to the district of Zalaegerszeg , 3 each to the districts of Nagykanizsa (together 1,365 inhabitants) and Keszthely (together 849 inhabitants).

At the end of 2012, 10,098 people lived in an area of ​​278.84 km². The population density of the small area with the lowest population was the second lowest (36) in the county.

The administrative seat was in the only city Pacsa (1.676 Ew.). The remaining 19 localities had an average population of 443 (each 13.48 km²).
