Özgür Bakar (born December 16, 1979 in Wolfratshausen ), better known by his ring name Murat Bosporus , is a German wrestler of Turkish descent .

Career

Sports background / beginnings

Bakar was an active wrestler before his wrestling career . He has appeared as a wrestler since March 2002 and was represented in the two largest German wrestling leagues, westside Xtreme wrestling (wXw) and German Stampede Wrestling , from 2004 onwards . His ring character is designed with overemphasis on his Turkish origins.

National and international appearances

In 2006 Bakar was the first German to be invited to the largest Japanese wrestling league, Pro Wrestling NOAH , where he subsequently played numerous matches. In the meantime, the wrestling market leader World Wrestling Entertainment had expressed interest in the Wolfratshausen; Before a show in Munich there was already a tryout (trial match). At the end of August 2007, Bakar was dismissed from his doctorate due to personal differences with the then wXw management. As part of the " TNA Maximum Impact" tour 2011, Bakar played a match against Jeff Jarrett on January 25, 2011 in Berlin , which he lost .
