Musaeb Ibrahim al-Momani (born August 28, 1986 ) is a Jordanian shot putter and discus thrower .

Athletic career

Musaeb al-Momani gained his first international experience at the 2003 Youth World Championships in Sherbrooke , where he was eliminated with 53.31 m in qualification. In 2007 he took ninth place in the shot put at the Asian Championships in Amman with 15.88 m and seventh place with the discus with 53.94 m. He then finished sixth at the Pan-Arab Games in Cairo with 51.45 m. Two years later he won the silver medal in the discus throw at the Military World Games in Sofia with 62.36 m. In addition, he did not make a valid attempt with the ball. At the Asian Athletics Championships in 2011 in Kobe he was sixth and fifth with 17.44 m and 54.49 m with ball and discus. He then won bronze with the discus and finished eighth at the World Military Games in Rio de Janeiro . At the Arab Championships in al-Ain he won the bronze medal in both competitions and was sixth with the ball at the Pan-Arab Games in Doha with 16.68 m. He also won the bronze medal in the discus throw with a distance of 58.95 m. Two years later he finished twelfth in the shot put at the Asian Championships in Pune with 17.75 m and fifth in the discus throw with 60.21 m. He qualified for the World Championships in Moscow , where he was eliminated with 59.38 m in the preliminary round.

In 2015 he finished eighth and eleven at the Military World Games in Mungyeon, South Korea . In 2017 he won the bronze medal in the shot put at the Arab Championships in Radès with 16.85 m and was fourth with the discus. At the beginning of September he was 16 at the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat with 15.81 m . In 2019 he won the bronze medal behind the two Iranians Ehsan Hadadi and Behnam Shiri Jabilou at the Asian Championships in Doha with 58.27 m . He also took 13th place in the shot put with 16.00 m.

In 2010 and 2011, as well as in 2018, al-Momani became the Jordanian champion in the shot put and discus throw.
