The Muscatatuck River is a left tributary of the East Fork White River in the US state of Indiana . It has a length of 85 km. Its catchment area covers an area of 2952 km².
The Muscatatuck River arises at the confluence of Graham Creek and other rivers north of Deputy . It flows mainly in a westerly direction. Crothersville is north of the river , Austin south. Later, the Vernon Fork Muscatatuck River joins the river from the right. 5 km south of Medora , the Muscatatuck River meets the East Fork White River.
The Vernon Fork Muscatatuck River is the main tributary of the Muscatatuck River. Its source is in Ripley County . It flows in a southwest direction through Jennings County . The river passes North Vernon . The Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge extends near Seymour on the north bank of the river. The river has numerous meanders . A drainage canal runs along the lower section of the river and the downstream section of the Muscatatuck River.
The Graham Creek is the right headwaters of the Muscatatuck River. It rises south of Versailles . It flows mainly in a south-westerly direction. He crosses the Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge .
