The Muttner Horn (in Rhaeto-Romanic motta, mutta for 'hill, hill, hilltop') is a mountain southeast of Thusis in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland at an altitude of 2,400  m above sea level. M. The Muttner Horn is an easily accessible lookout with a beautiful view into Domleschg and Shams ( Romansh Val Schons ).

The Muttner Horn belongs to the Piz Curvér group, a sub-group of the Oberhalbsteiner Alps . The municipal boundaries of Zillis-Reischen and Thusis meet on the ridge . The municipal boundary to Albula / Alvra is 250 m southeast of the summit. The summit separates the Schin Gorge in the Albula Valley in the east from the Schams in the west.

The neighboring peaks include the Piz Curvér ( 2972  m ), the Curvér Pintg da Taspegn ( 2730  m ), the Curvér Pintg da Neaza ( 2720  m ), the Piz Neaza ( 2626  m ) and the Piz Toissa ( 2655  m ).

Frequent starting points for the ascent are Mutten ( 1395  m ), Obermutten ( 1863  m ), Stierva ( 1368  m ) and Zillis ( 944  m ).

The most distant visible point from the Muttner Horn is 63 km to the northeast. The point is 3290  m above sea level. M. high and lies on the ridge between the Fluchthorn ( 3398  m ) and the Piz Larain ( 3008  m ) in the eastern Silvretta . The border between Switzerland and Austria runs over the ridge . Half of the ridge is in the municipality of Valsot in the Lower Engadine .

  • Via: Nasch ( 1670  m ), Spinatscha ( 1907  m )
  • Difficulty: BG until Nasch as trail white-red-white highlighted
