N'Gonga is a rural municipality in the department boboye department in Niger .

N'Gonga is located in the greater Sudan landscape on Wadi Dallol Bosso . The neighboring communities are Harikanassou , Kiota and Kouré in the north, Gollé in the east, Birni N'Gaouré in the south and Fakara in the west. The municipality is divided into 33 administrative villages, seven traditional villages and 26 hamlets. The main town of the rural community is N'Gonga, consisting of the administrative villages of N'Gonga Djerma and N'Gonga Peulh.

There is a high risk of flooding in N'Gonga.

history

The rural community of N'Gonga was established as an administrative unit in 2002 as part of a nationwide administrative reform from the northern part of the canton of Birni N'Gaouré / Boboye.

At the 2001 census, N'Gonga had 20,489 residents. At the 2012 census, the population was 27,609.

Economy and Infrastructure

The community is located in a zone where rain-fed agriculture is practiced. There is a cattle market in N'Gonga. The market day is Saturday.
