NGC 1866 is the name for a young, blue globular cluster in the Large Magellanic Cloud in the constellation Dorado . NGC  1866 is 4 ′. 5 in diameter and has an apparent magnitude of 9.7 mag. The object was discovered by James Dunlop on August 3, 1826 .
