Naled is a colorless to white solid with a faint odor that melts even when the temperature rises slightly and is usually marketed as a low-dose spray or a high-dose solution.

use

Naled is an insecticide from the group of phosphoric acid esters, which was first registered for this purpose in 1959 under the trade name Dibrom. About a million pounds are used in the US each year. The racemate is used . Its toxic effect is based on the inhibition of cholinesterase activity . Due to its short half-life of less than a day, it is considered to be easily degradable. In the presence of water or sunlight, it rapidly decomposes into dichlorvos .
