Nancy Rebecca Bell-Johnstone (born October 22, 1959 in New York City ) is a former American biathlete .

Nancy Bell's international career spanned a few years before and after 1990. At the Biathlon World Championships in 1990 , which were relocated to Oslo from Minsk at the Holmenkollen after the start of the weather , she finished 36th in the individual and 26th in the sprint. In the team competition she missed at the side of Patrice Anderson , Joan Miller Smith and Anna Sonnerup in fourth place just one place a medal. After Josh Thompson won a silver medal in 1987 and won the bronze medal in the women's relay at the first Women's World Cup in 1984 , it was the greatest international success for US biathlon. The following year she was able to win a title at the North American Championships. The climax and conclusion of his career was the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville , where biathlon for women was also on the program for the first time. Bell-Johnstone was used here in all three races. She finished 44th in the sprint, 34th in singles and 15 alongside Smith and Mary Ostergren in the relay.
