The blonde twins Annabelle, called Annie, and Isabelle, Izzy, are cousins of Elle Woods. Like them, in addition to their hair color, they share a fondness for pink, for shopping and for lapdogs, moving from tranquil England with their father, Richard Woods, to urban Los Angeles in Elle's pink villa, while Elle herself is in Washington DC is. At the Pacific Preparatory, Ellen Woods is still very well known and hated by the director. After the girls have signed the rules, she asks her secretary to keep a close eye on the newcomers so that they don't turn the reorganized school day upside down. They immediately clash with the hierarchy there, especially with Tiffany Donough, who is pushy, jealous, and spoiled. Not only because they stand out with their beauty, or rather their blonde hair, but also because the newbies are serious competition for Tiffany, which is why she makes a good friend to find out the secrets of the two.
When Tiffany introduces the twins to the school hierarchy, Izzy hides her scholarships in order to belong. In an undisturbed moment with Mr. Woods, Tiffany coaxes this big secret from him. Then she lets the twins dance in bikinis at a gala on the Queen Mary, in order to let the bomb burst in front of the assembled crew. Now Annie and Izzy stand there as liars, but the other scholarship recipients quickly forgive them and make friends with them. At a small pool party, the new friends decide to spice up their school outfits and make them more individual. This is a thorn in the side of the director, but to her regret everything is absolutely compliant.
Because Tiffany is no longer the only trendsetter, a new maneuver must be made against the two. She tells each hurtful lies about the other that are supposed to tear the twins apart. After a long day at school, Annie realizes she forgot her history notebook in the classroom. Chris has a master key for his work studies and offers to let Annie in, but because she is too shy, Izzy leaves. When they can't find the exercise book, they go to the teacher's study and find it there. However, Izzy loses her special bracelet during the action. When she was supposed to write the next history test, the fire alarm went off. Somebody breaks into the study and gets the test answers. When the alarm turns out to be false, Tiffany can then arrange for the test to be postponed by one day. This test turns out unexpectedly good with Izzy, which is taken as a further indication of her guilt. Since Chris' key was used to commit the crime, he is also found guilty, and Izzy's bracelet was no exculpatory either.
The headmistress is about to expel the two of them from school when Annie rushes in and announces that only a student court is authorized to do so. This is then also convened. But before that, Tiffany's lies are exposed because the sisters have a long overdue conversation. She and her friends are working flat out on the defense. The only thing you can find is red abrasion, which you are not able to classify exactly. They go into the negotiation strengthened.
