The National League Division Series 2014 (NLDS) took place between October 3rd and 9th, 2014 and was part of the postseason of the 2014 MLB season . It was used to determine which two teams will compete against each other in the 2014 National League Championship Series . There were two best-of-five series in which the winners of the three divisions of the National League and the winners of the wildcard game participate. The series was played in mode 2-3, i.e. the better seeded team had home rights in games 3, 4 and 5.
