The nature reserve Käsbachtal is located in the municipality of Odenthal in the Rheinisch-Bergisch district . It extends from Amtmannscherf to the south into the Käsbachtal.

description

The nature reserve encompasses the Kerbsohlental of the Käsbach with a meandering stream, grassland use and littered field trees. It is a natural spring and running water habitat with amphibious and terrestrial contact habitats within the Scherfbach / Dhünn joint axis.

The protection expulsion has taken place

  • To maintain a natural creek valley with a species-rich habitat complex of wet grassland and -brachen, riparian forest residues , wood successions and a richly textured watercourse with pronounced spring swamps,
  • To protect and maintain the near-natural water system,
  • To protect and maintain the differentiated local conditions as the basis for the structural and biodiversity of the Käsbachtal,
  • To preserve the diverse vegetation mosaic from various wet and wet meadows as well as tall herbaceous meadows , large sedge beds and succession stages,
  • To preserve the well-developed riparian wood,
  • To maintain and secure the pronounced spring corridors.
