Nature reserve Kallerhöh and Limmicketal

The nature reserve Kallerhöh and Limmicketal is a 135.54 hectare nature reserve (NSG) south of the village of Hünsborn in the municipality of Wenden in the Olpe district in North Rhine-Westphalia . It was designated in 2008 by the district council with the landscape plan No. 4 Wenden - Drolshagen . As early as 1949 and again in 1966, the Arnsberg district government had designated the Kallerhöh forest area as a nature reserve Kallerhöh . The NSG borders directly on the village. The Hünsborn airfield is located south of the NSG . The federal motorway 45 borders almost directly to the west of the NSG.

Area description

The NSG is a biotope complex with near-natural source areas, swamp forests with moor areas and wet and humid grassland. In the grassland, there are grass turf and marsh grass meadows .
