The Nesselbach is a 7.4 km long orographic right tributary of the Lenne in the North Rhine-Westphalian Hochsauerlandkreis , Germany .

The Nesselbach rises in the Rothaargebirge about 650 m north of the center of the Winterberg district of Altastenberg . Its source lies directly above a curve of the district road 18 leading from Altastenberg to the Schmallenberg district of Nordenau at an altitude of 723 m above sea level. NHN .
Initially, the brook, which runs entirely in the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge Nature Park , flows in a south-westerly direction. With the confluence of the Schauerten Siepen coming from the Schmallenberg district of Nesselbach , the course turns south. The brook reaches Nordenau , from where it gradually turns back to the southwest.
After taking in the Lengenbeck flowing from Lengenbeck, the Nesselbach flows at an altitude of 459 m on the right into the Ruhr tributary Lenne coming from the east-southeast ; About 300 m downstream is Inderlenne in the southwest .
The Nesselbach overcomes a height difference of 264 m on a 7.4 km stretch of river, which corresponds to an average bed gradient of 35.7 ‰. The brook drains a 10.729 km² catchment area via the Lenne , Ruhr and Rhine to the North Sea .
