Nesselbach is a district of the city of Schmallenberg in North Rhine-Westphalia .
geography
The place is about three kilometers north of Nordenau on the Nesselbach . Other neighboring places are Rehsiepen and Altastenberg .
history
The settlement named after the stream of the same name was founded in 1830. The Scherte brothers build two houses there. The Schäpes family built another house in Nesselbach in 1850. The house of the Struck family burned down twice. In 1895, according to the entry in the trade and business address book of the province of Westphalia, 18 inhabitants lived in the place Nesselbach.
On January 1, 1975 Nesselbach was incorporated into the town of Schmallenberg with the municipality of Oberkirchen , to which it belonged until then.
