Hebbecke is a district of the city of Schmallenberg in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The farm is located around four kilometers northwest of Saalhausen. Bordering places are Rotbusch and Gleierbrück.

history

Hebbecke Chapel, 2005

On February 6, 1463, the brothers Diderich and Johan van Bonslade called Drammen sell an annual pension from their estate in Bracht called the estate "to Hebbicke" to Hannes Henneken von Bracht. In 1563 Veltin paid 1 gold gulden and 1 place according to the appraisal register in the Hebbeke . Today's Hof Hebbecker zu Hebbecke was built by Hermann Hebbecker and Therese Teipel on June 20, 1791. A house inscription on the building with the year 1791 reminds of the year of construction.

Until the local reorganization in North Rhine-Westphalia, Hebbecke belonged to the municipality of Wormbach . Hebbecke has belonged to the town of Schmallenberg since January 1st, 1975.

Today's chapel in Hebbecke was built in 1911 by master mason Johann Peetz from Felbecke. It was consecrated to St. Barbara and replaced the old chapel from 1653. The chapel has now been renovated.
