history

The award of a court to Nierentrop was first documented in a document dated March 28, 1273. Until the municipal reorganization in North Rhine-Westphalia, Nierentrop belonged to the municipality of Dorlar. Since January 1st, 1975 Nierentrop has been part of the town of Schmallenberg.

Attractions

In the village there is a listed courtyard with a 400-year-old bakery, a courtyard chapel and a picture stick.
