Sellmecke is a brook and a district of the town of Schmallenberg in North Rhine-Westphalia .

geography

The Sellmecke brook, which is around 3 km long, has its source around 1 km east of Oberhenneborn and flows in a north-westerly direction to Kirchrarbach . There it flows into the Rarbach from the left .

The five houses in Sellmeckal form the Schmallenberg district of Sellmecke. The district is located about 1 km south of Kirchrarbach and 1 km northeast of Oberhenneborn and extends over a length of 0.9 km along a road from Oberhenneborn to Kirchrarbach.

history

The Sellmecketal was settled from around 1850. On January 1, 1975 Sellmecke was incorporated into the town of Schmallenberg with the municipality of Rarbach , to which the place belonged until then.
