The Nesselbach is an eastward-flowing stream about nine kilometers long in the district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim in Bavaria , which flows into the middle Aisch from the left and northwest in the district of Schauerheim in the district town of Neustadt an der Aisch .

geography

course

The brook arises at the Rehhof of Bad Windsheim at the outflow of a first small pre-pond and flows through a second pond and a 1.5 hectare pond in quick succession. It runs in an arc that is only weak to the left about eastwards. After it has left the Windsheim city area and crossed an unpopulated southeast corner of the Deutenheim suburb of Markt Sugenheim , it runs continuously in the city area of Neustadt an der Aisch up to the confluence . The next place he passes is the village of Obernesselbach close to the northern development boundary, then the Talstraße, Kreisstraße NEA 6, which accompanies him on the right, changes to the other side. Shortly afterwards it crosses the NEA 26, which crosses the valley, touching the Neustadt parish village of Unteresselbach to the south and , further down, the small village of Hasenlohe on the right bank. On the southwest edge of Schauerheim it flows into the middle Aisch from the left.

The entire length of the Nesselbach runs in a fairly flat hollow through an open field, with fields often reaching to the shore. The almost meandering ditch has no shrub growth on the bank for long stretches. On the 9.2 kilometers of its course, it has an absolute total gradient of around 65 meters in altitude and thus a mean bottom gradient of around 7 ‰.
