Neuenhaus is a farm in the Bergisch city ​​of Wuppertal .

Location and description

The Hofschaft is located in the northwest of the city at 182  m above sea level. NHN in the Eigenbach valley in the north of the Eckbusch residential area in the Uellendahl-Katernberg district on the outskirts of Wülfrath .

history

In the 17th century, the farm belonged to the estate of the rider of Aprath Castle . At that time the affiliation of the court to the Honschaft Oberdüssel of the Bergisch rule Schöller in the office of Solingen was certified.

On the Topographia Ducatus Montani by Erich Philipp Ploennies from 1715 the farm is marked as Neuhus . The place is on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 as a. new house and marked as NeueHaus on the Prussian first recording from 1843 . In the course of the 20th century, the place was named Neuenhaus on the measurement table .

In the 19th century, Neuenhaus still belonged to the Oberdüssel honor of the mayor of Wülfrath . From 1816 to 1861 it belonged to the Elberfeld district and from 1861 to the old Mettmann district .

In 1888, nine residents lived in one house in Neuenhaus. At that time the place was called Neuenhaus .

With the municipal reform of 1929, the eastern part of the Oberdüssel district around Neuenhaus was split off from Wülfrath and incorporated into the newly founded city of Wuppertal.
