Honschaft Oberdüssel
The Honschaft upper Düssel was to the 19th century one of the lowest administrative units in the rural outskirts of Bergisch mayoralty Wülfrath in the district Elberfeld the administrative district of Dusseldorf within the Prussian Rhine Province .
Before that, around 1363 , the Honschaft belonged to the Solingen office together with the village of Düssel and the Honschaft Unterdüssel under the Schöller dominion in the Duchy of Berg . In the course of an administrative reform within the Grand Duchy of Berg , the mayor's office of Wülfrath was formed in 1808, of which Oberdüssel became a part.
According to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district from 1832, the towns and places of residence Am Siepen , Auf'm Bölkum , Auf'm Haus Aprath , Im Langensiepen , Zu Koxhof and Zu Obenaprath belonged to the Honschaft .
The area of the Honschaft Oberdüssel extended over the east of the mayor's office Wülfrath, which formed a municipality according to the municipal regulations for the Rhine province of July 23, 1845 since 1846 and a city according to the Rhenish city regulations since 1856 .
The name of the honor was transferred to what is now the Oberdüssel district . In 1975, the Düsseldorf Act changed several parcels of land in the Oberdüssel district from the city of Wülfrath to the independent city of Wuppertal .
