The community-free area Neuensorger Forst is located in the Upper Franconian district of Lichtenfels .

The 5.09 km² state forest is located between Ebersdorf near Coburg , Weidhausen near Coburg , Michelau in Upper Franconia and Lichtenfels . The High Aßlitz ( 50 ° 11 '25.44 "  N , 11 ° 6' 0.72"  O ) is 379  m above sea level. NN the highest point in the area.
